We asked the alumni below, celebrating a birthday today, October 21, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...

Gary Eggebraaten MBA '91

I live in Tallahassee, Florida, with my wife of 41 years, Debra. In 2001, we returned to Tallahassee, where we first met, after many years in North Carolina and South Florida. For the past 16 years, it has been my privilege to serve as the IT Director for the Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering, the only shared college of engineering in the nation. Outside of work, we are very active in church (especially music ministry), and I have been involved in sports public address announcing.

Claire Mackin MMS '21

I recently moved to New York City and am working at The Michael J. Fox Foundation on the development operational strategy team. I love working at MJFF, where I use my business skills I learned at Fuqua while working on a cause I care a lot about. Last year on my birthday I celebrated at MMS bingo, and this year I’ll be attending the MJFF Gala! Hope everyone is safe and healthy, and enjoying a wonderful fall (and birthday too!).

Eva MacLeod MBA '92

After graduation, I did a number of projects from new media product development at Hallmark to product and process improvement in the compliance space for places like Fidelity and MFS along with technical implementations at Harvard. These days I’m living near the beach outside of Boston with my husband and 2 foul-mouthed parrots. I ended up going directly to grandchildren, which I highly recommend! For vocation, I’m currently working a large process improvement project as Accounting Consulting Practice Lead for Veracross, a provider of school information systems for private schools. For avocation, I write and do spiritual coaching via Mindful Mentor. Hope everyone is well.

Allie Ossa MBA '18

After graduating from Fuqua’s Daytime Program in 2018, I moved back to my beloved NYC to continue expanding into the world of people strategy (HR) at Bank of America. I was lucky enough to convince Alex Wong (also Daytime MBA ‘18) to come along and we were married in April 2021 in a tiny pandemic wedding, officiated by our good friend Kyle Chea (Daytime MBA ‘18). We continue to love living in and exploring Manhattan, Queens, and the other boroughs, while carving out plenty of time for dear family and friends (and food). I continue to support Fuqua wherever I can via admissions and panels for BLMBAO and the Human Capital Consulting club. Fuqua family forever!

Chloe Park MMS '18

Hey, Team Fuqua, and happy birthday to all the October babies! It’s unreal how time flies! I’m currently living San Francisco where I moved out of Durham after graduating MMS. Recently, I started my next career journey at Google. It’s been crazy work-life balance, but it’s always great to hear from Fuqua. Hope everyone stays safe and healthy and really wish we can reunite in-person soon!

Mike Patel MSQM '21

I live in Richmond, VA, with my wife, Sonal. During my last term, I accepted an internal advancement opportunity within Boston Scientific as a Global Value and Outcomes Manager. I look forward to reconnecting locally through my local chapter as well as our long-anticipated commencement ceremony in Durham on October 23!

Poorvi Patodia MBA '05

I live outside of Boston and am the Founder and CEO of Biena, a healthy snack brand that I grew from scratch. The brand can be found in 15,000 stores around the country including Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target. In the month of October Biena is featured in a national ad campaign for Target! I have two daughters, and we are loving being in the Northeast.

Shuhei Sekiguchi MBA '04

I am in Tokyo, Japan, as President of Janssen Japan, Johnson & Johnson. I’ve been at J&J since graduation from Fuqua—a long time! Enjoying living in Japan after having been on the move for 18 years.

Saim Shujaat MSQM '19

Hi, fellow Fuquans! I've been living in Chicago and working at Uber Freight since graduation. My work is aimed at improving our shipper's experience by analyzing their interactions with our products. I took advantage of the gorgeous summer by attending a variety of street festivals and playing soccer with my sports league. As the air starts to get crisp, I'm already beginning to think about my next winter getaway!

Phil Silveira MBA '09

Greetings from Boston (Needham), Massachusetts, where Karen (Daytime MBA '10) and our two kids have been living for a few years now after spending nearly 10 years in Chicago post-Fuqua. I'm currently the CFO of M.S. Walker, a Wine and Spirits producer and distributor with products in nearly all 50 states. You can also find me on the soccer field or baseball diamond coaching my 1st grader's teams and imparting Team Fuqua lessons at an early age. Best wishes to alumni across the globe.

I’m now in Shanghai, China.
