We asked the alumni below celebrating a birthday today, September 17, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...

Brian Alvo MBA ‘11

I have remained a proud resident of Durham, NC, since graduating from Fuqua in 2011. I live a few minutes away from the university with my wife and two sons, aged 6 and 3. For the last 4 years I have run NextGen Center, a leadership development and training company. I founded NextGen Center to create accessible and impactful leadership development experiences for the next generation of leaders. Nearly all of my work has been local to the Triangle with high growth companies and teams, but having transitioned to virtual engagements over the past six months, we now partner with companies and teams everywhere.

Jeff Boutelle MBA ‘92

I live in Los Angeles (love it!). Three of our four kids are here too—Claire (32), Andie (29, born in Durham), and Henry (22). Maddie (27) lives in NYC. I’m CEO of Pharmavite, makers of Nature Made and MegaFood vitamins—Vitamin D and C are extra-important these days!! Cathy and I love to travel and can’t wait until we are able to do so again. One year ago we took a fabulous trip with Linda and Dan Hearne (also ’92) to South of France. Coincidentally, we were neighbors in London for a few years and have enjoyed several great travel adventures with the Hearnes.

N. Ranthi Dev MBA ‘75

I now live in Cary, NC, not far from Duke and Durham. After I graduated from Duke, I spent a number of years in Greenville, NC, working for Burroughs Wellcome Co. in their manufacturing facility. I moved to Rhode Island in 1996 and then to Singapore in 1999, where I spent almost eleven years. After a rewarding career in Pharma manufacturing, we decided to come back to NC and chose Cary as our retirement home. My son is a Pratt graduate, Class of 2007. He lives and works in Durham. My daughter is a lawyer working for a NY Law firm, currently working from our home in Cary. A couple of us, classmates from the 1975 batch, meet very regularly. We would love to hear from our other classmates. Please e-mail meet at nrdev@hotmail.com.

Daniel Dykes MMS ‘12

I moved back to NC from D.C. two years ago and was able to stay with my company, Acumen Solutions, a top-tier Salesforce consulting partner. I'm approaching my 8th full year at Acumen and recently switched from our project management team to our solution architecture team. My wife and I were married three years ago and are raising our baby girl, Sofia. Outside of work and family, I enjoy playing on a local golf tour and searching for real-estate investments.

Pablo Fulcheri MBA ‘15

I’m in Charlotte, NC, still working in McKinsey as a Solutions Leader developing technology assets to support our engagements and our client directly in the credit risk space (So, not so far from Durham!). Married for almost 4 years, no kids, just an 11-year-old corgi pup ;). I do help with cultivation events in NC, including Fuqua, so might see you around on campus (after COVID, of course).

Matt Hinnenkamp MBA ‘20

I just started my new role at JPMorgan Chase in their CAP program, so I’m trying to get up to speed with work. I will be heading down to Dallas eventually, but with the pandemic I’m working remotely to avoid the Texas heat. So, I am currently up in MN, enjoying the extra time with my family and friends.

Anne Kim MBA ‘20

Our family currently lives in Seattle, Washington. I'm working as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group's Seattle office, which has been challenging but rewarding. I'm excited for our Fuqua 2020 class reunion!

Bernd Krajnik MBA ‘02

I’m living in Zurich, Switzerland, for the past 12 years working across banking and consulting. At present, I’m leading the strategic initiatives for EY Strategy and Transactions in Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa. Having been working in several different places since graduating in 2002, I found my home in this great country, which is well connected to the world. Lockdown affected us all and brought business travel to a stop for me. As a result, I spend more time in my mountain place looking at great scenery from the window of my home office in the mountains. Now, as lockdowns are easing across Europe, I split my time between Zurich and the mountains and have started seeing colleagues, clients, friends and family again.

Matthew Malouin MBA ‘05

I live in Rye, NY, with my wife, Julia, and four kids, Mackenzie (9), Wesley (8), Garrett (6), and Harper (4). I am a Managing Director at Bank of America, where I lead the convertible bond trading team. Best wishes for continued health in 2020 and an outstanding 2021.

Pablo Rion Echeverria MBA ‘19

I'm in Mexico City running an industrial water treatment company. Working hard, enjoying the family, and hoping 2021 sends us better times!

M.L. Stewart MBA ‘03

I live in Charlotte, NC, with my husband, Bill (MBA ’03). I left the corporate finance world four years ago to pursue a passion to share the benefits of yoga and mindfulness with adults and children--even more important during the pandemic! This year I am also excited to be homeschooling our 12-year-old daughter and chairing a local chapter of an international humanitarian aid organization.

Jason Tanner MBA '02

I'm still living in Cary, NC with two kids in college (ECU and App State). I run a management consulting company and my wife works for Duke Health (ultimately reporting to my classmate Dr. Bill Fulkerson).

Rachael Todd MBA ‘15

I've been in NYC with my husband (also a 2015 Fuquan!) since we graduated and am currently part of the Corporate Strategy team at Quest Diagnostics. My day job has shifted significantly this year with the Covid pandemic and our focus on new testing strategies and rollout, but it's certainly been an interesting few months. I'm also lucky to have tons of fellow alumni in NYC, so I spend a lot of time with them out and about in the city and occasionally seeing Duke play at Madison Square Garden!

Abhyudai Tripathi MQM ‘18

I left California in the middle of the pandemic to start a new journey here in Austin, Texas. I am currently working as a Sr. Advisor at Dell Technologies and greatly enjoying my role at the intersection of sales planning and strategy analytics. Post Duke, moving west to the Bay Area and now to the south has been nothing short of exciting as my transitions continue to introduce me to incredible people and experiences. Starting out virtually under these circumstances has been challenging. However, I am sure these very trying times will bring out the best of us. I’ve been using this time for self-care and connecting virtually with family and friends. Kindling my passion for writing, dancing, cooking, and yoga has been fun too! Hope my fellow Blue Devils are in the highest spirits, as I aim to visit the beautiful campus once the dust settles.
