Reflections

Our world is changing as a result of easy access to data. Data has emerged as a critical tool that businesses across all industries are utilizing to optimize operations and improve procedures. This has led to a seismic shift into today’s market dynamics because the deployment of data has resulted in enhanced use of predictive technology to decipher and interpret market trends and competitor activity. The accelerated MSQM: Business Analytics is responding to this demand by effectively training young professionals. The program is relevant and timely and will prepare students for the future in this esoteric area.

I was a manager in a museum where I oversaw admissions and retail. I had the experience of using data analytics to help the company understand inventory movement, customer preferences, demographics, and visitor statistics. This is what sparked my interest in the world of data.

I intend to transition into the marketing, energy, or consumer good sectors in a challenging role that leverages data analytics to forecast customer behavior and adapt a product portfolio. I want to capitalize on my marketing and analytics background now that I am equipped with the necessary tools to help me meet my professional objectives.

Advice to Prospective Students

  2. Also, do not be intimated if you have no coding/programming experience prior to starting this program.
