Spring Break, by Frannie Sensenbrenner

As MMS and MQM students, we are lucky to have a two week spring break between the fourth and fifth terms of our programs. This year, Fuqua students traveled all around the world. One MMS:FOB student went to visit friends from the MMS:DKU program in Kunshan, China; a group of students went to Mexico; and others covered all different corners of the United States. As a whole, MMS and MQM students are very adventurous - having the time to travel and explore is a boon to the program. We all came back feeling refreshed and energized, ready to take on the final term.

MMS Spring 2 Classes, by Anna Collins

The final term is keeping MMS students busy with Operations and Supply Chain Management, Fundamentals of Financial Analysis, and Fundamentals of Market Intelligence. So far, the semester’s highlights have included a guest lecturer sharing marketing insights from Burt’s Bees, an introduction to using Tableau data visualization software, and cases on everything from Benihana to cookie baking. As the program comes to a close, the last few classes are giving students the chance to bring together topics from the past ten months, from applying strategy lessons on Porter’s Five Forces during financial analysis class, to carrying marketing analysis concepts to the next level in market intelligence.

While the Class of 2018 is sad to be leaving Fuqua so soon, this term is proving to be quite a culmination of the year so far, casting a spotlight on just how much everyone has learned and grown since July!
